In the kitchen design process, there are lots of factors to bear in mind that are crucial to all projects.
They include the dimensions of the earmarked area, the availability of natural light, whether to opt for an open-plan kitchen-diner or not, what uses the kitchen will have, the layout and so on. Over and above all these factors, there is one clear point to remember: all kitchens must be designed to meet their users’ needs.
That is why customization is absolutely fundamental in the creation of carefully planned kitchens, with attention to detail and equal emphasis on functionality.
We know that the day-to-day habits of the kitchen’s users will fully determine its design so an analysis must be made of factors such as the number of hours a day devoted to cooking, the type of electrical appliances that will be used, and the cabinet dimensions that best fit in with the project.
Nowadays, there are all kinds of options that can be included in a kitchen, some which might not have formerly been considered. For instance, it is typical now for homes to have a breakfast area where you can prepare this all-important meal and store smaller utensils so as to keep the kitchen neat and tidy.
Another point to remember about today’s kitchens is that it is common to have lots of cupboards to conceal the electrical appliances and other possible visual clutter. Indeed, minimalism is very much in vogue since it gives precedence to order and practicality, always in an aesthetically pleasing way so as to ensure harmonious end results.
Minute care must be taken in selecting the materials used to create the kitchen and all those finer details. To infuse it with an aura of restful harmony, materials and finishes with a timeless appeal should be chosen, avoiding too many loud colours.
Our MDi surfaces are the ideal tools in kitchen design since their extensive choice of colours also includes a wide variety of warm shades able to suit kitchens of all kinds. The versatility of our materials and their ductile properties are another key advantage, above all when it comes to bespoke designs or handcrafted work.
MDi can be used to design spaces with minute attention to detail because Inalco believes in customization as a mean of opening the gateway to the creation of one-of-a-kind projects, adapted to client needs.
The kitchen in today’s photos was designed by our partner Rekker, using MDi surfaces. It is a clear example of a modern, functional, eye-catching kitchen where nothing has been left to chance in its design.
This big kitchen, designed with Meteora, is divided into various different functional areas, for cooking, cleaning or eating. It also features a breakfast area, a wine rack, and cupboards for storing crockery.
As well as all the above, the Brazza collection was used on the walls and floor to create a creamy backdrop streaked with dark veins, adding a select touch of elegance.
