Morvedre: Natural harmony with Petra

At Inalco, we believe that the loveliest living spaces are the outcome of a harmonious blend of architecture, careful design and nature. Morvedre illustrates this philosophy to perfection. In this project for a villa by Lauria 13 Arquitectura, the boundaries between its indoor and outdoor spaces have been blurred thanks to the transformative capacity of the Petra collection by Inalco.
Petra’s design is inspired by limestone, with warm shades and a delicate veined pattern conceived to bring a restful, wrap-round seamless beauty to homes. When it is used on walls and floors, settings with a unique personality can be achieved, where the light glides across Petra’s surface and is multiplied, swathing living spaces and adding a touch of chic sophistication.
Our MDi surfaces truly come to the fore in the project’s outdoor spaces, where the terrace maintains the same character as the villa’s interiors, with architecture that skilfully blends into the Mediterranean landscape. The most surprising touch is the pool, clad entirely in Petra. The sheet of water seems to emerge from the stone as if it had been part of it. Thanks to this continuity between the MDi slabs and the water, the pool is the contemplative heart of the home: a place where architecture and nature have been seamlessly blended.
Morvedre is more than just a design project: it is the embodiment of a certain lifestyle, and Petra was no casual choice. With its texture, natural beauty and evocative appeal, the home has an enduring charm devoid of any fleeting trends. Petra is more than just cladding. It inspires experiences, defines atmospheres, and transforms each instant into a moment of beauty.
With this project, Lauria 13 Arquitectura has skilfully demonstrated the full potential of MDi: surfaces able to create homes with a coherent, deeply human, wrap-round feel.
