Materials able to define living spaces

Casa Cruz is a project by Rubén Muedra Arquitectura studio where the architecture and the interior design unite to create harmonious interplay among light, shape and materials. Every single line, texture and surface is conceived to meet the same goal: to create a home that exudes a natural beauty, devoid of any artifice. Our Storm and Touché surfaces play a key role in this balance between the sensory and the quintessential, infusing the home with elegance and personality.

The Storm collection acts as a linking thread both inside and outside the home. Its presence on Casa Cruz’s columns, fireplace and outdoor kitchen ensures visual continuity, and its solid stone-like design subtly frames the architecture. Rather than simply acting as a cladding, Storm behaves more like a skin, shaping the space and adding depth and coherence to the whole composition.

In contrast, the Touché collection infuses the villa’s more secluded areas with luminosity. Its smooth white surface enhances the main bathroom, the bathroom unit and the kitchen walls, creating an atmosphere conspicuous for its tranquillity and luminosity. Touché’s purity guarantees an added sense of spaciousness and serenity, acting as the perfect counterpoint to Storm’s mineral intensity.

The dialogue between both collections reveals an approach to home design aimed at the generation of an all-round experience. The surfaces are not just finishes, but forms of expression, capable of transforming people’s perceptions of spaces and lending them identity. Each living space exhibits a different relationship with its materials, sometimes making a solid, forceful impression or else delicately enveloping users, always in coherence with the architecture.

Casa Cruz is an example of how materials can define the essence of a project, Through Storm and Touché, the villa demonstrates our capacity to create materials that go one step further than simply adorning surfaces by eliciting emotions.
