INALCO has installed a system for recovering heat from the hot air of a kiln so that it can be used in the kiln dryer itself and in the horizontal dryer at the press outlet. In this way, it will be possible to achieve significant energy savings, given that the heat energy recovered will not have to be supplied by the gas burners of the dryers, as well as a reduction in CO2 emissions and atmospheric pollutants associated with combustion.
The project has received a grant of 27,191.10 Euros from the VALENCIAN INSTITUTE FOR BUSINESS COMPETITIVENESS (IVACE), under the ENERGY SAVING AND EFFICIENCY IN INDUSTRY PROGRAMME in the 2019 Call for Proposals.
