31 Club House: Textures, Modernity and Chic Elegance

31 Club House is a project by architects’ studio Architype. This modern home, in Chișinău (Moldavia), stands out for its skilful design, materials, and strong emotional component, all combined with surprising harmony.  A modern vision of aesthetics is apparent throughout, delicately insinuated in the project’s blend of natural materials, clean lines, and careful choice of textures. Our MDi surfaces play a prime role in this sensory narrative, marrying perfectly with the wood in a silent dialogue that defines the character of this home. 

The project is conspicuous for its mix of warmth and innovation, with chic, functional living spaces conceived not just to be inhabited, but also to trigger a sensory response. “Everything has been deliberately chosen to create an aesthetic experience that is not just visual, but also tactile,” its creators explained.   

The kitchen and living area are a masterly example. Our Masai collection brings a natural luminosity and soothing restfulness to these living spaces, infusing them with a more spacious, warm, welcoming feel. Masai’s mineral-like texture further enhances the natural authenticity of the home’s materials, creating a neutral backcloth for the clear-cut looking furniture and the natural wood features.  

In contrast, the Silk Negro countertop adds visual depth, bringing a touch of chic sophistication to the whole ensemble. Its bush-hammered finish stands out for its smooth texture and distinctive personality, with a tactile appeal that enhances everyday use of the surface. This balance of pale and dark, smooth and rough, and cold and warm is a linking thread throughout the whole project. 

Jasper contributes to this symphony of textures. With its timeless stone appearance, this surface brings a robustness to the project that contrasts with the delicacy of the other materials. Jasper demonstrates the ability of MDi surfaces to fit in with different aesthetic styles while still maintaining their elegant identity.   

One of the strong points of 31 Club House is its blend of different materials without relinquishing the project’s visual unity. A deliberate decision was made to combine MDi surfaces with solid wood, since both materials share the same key quality: a natural appeal, expressed in different ways. While wood transmits visual, organic warmth, MDi takes advantage of technological innovations and the purity of the minerals used in its formula to emulate nature. The outcome is skilful interplay between tradition and cutting-edge modernity.  

In addition to the project’s aesthetic criteria, a responsible approach to design was also taken. Our MDi surfaces are made of pure minerals, manufactured using a unique, eco-friendly process. Given how important an environmental awareness is in today’s design world, this choice of materials underscores the studio’s commitment to a more sustainable future. 

31 Club House is not just a modern home–it illustrates how modern design can be synonymous with warm, immersive, sensory settings, without relinquishing innovation. This is a home where every single texture counts, every single surface provides added value, and every single project decision is conceived to make an emotional impact.
