La Main, a tribute to artisans and their savoir-faire

La Main is the new Paris headquarters of LVMH Métiers d'Art and a space dedicated to craftsmanship, aimed at promoting and safeguarding the traditional artisanal trades used to create luxury products. 

This unique space, located in the heart of the capital, pays tribute to the outstanding craftsmen and women who work behind the scenes in the world of luxury indulgence. It celebrates the technical prowess and art of making things by hand that are so essential in the creation of genuine premium products. 

The objective is for La Main to be a place where age-old skills are shared and transmitted because LVMH Métiers d'Art wishes to highlight the artisanal trades at the root of its brands, such as leatherwork, jewelry making and haute costure. In doing so, it aspires to preserve and promote these traditions, while also training new generations of craftsmen and women. 

La Main is also aimed at fostering creativity and innovation. Its mission is to respect the legacies of former artisans as well as building on accumulated knowhow through the integration of new technologies. Craftsmen and women will thus be able to work with innovative materials and broaden their artistic horizons. 

The new space is dedicated to putting professionals into contact with possible partners, fostering communication links between artisans and companies and turning the spotlight on outstanding materials. As a result, La Main brings to the fore the intrinsic value of different types of craftsmanship, their mission, and the path they must follow to reach the marketplace. 

In our case, we were at La Main for two weeks, demonstrating the unique way in which we transform natural minerals into top-range surfaces in our commitment to excellence. Through visits by prior appointment, we invited professionals from the worlds of architecture and interior design to discover the essence of our surfaces and the origin of the materials used to make them. 

For several days, La Main was the perfect showcase for the presentation of our ground-breaking surfaces. From outside the building, our materials could be seen on display through the big windows that flank the entrance that welcomes visitors into its luminous interiors, filled with natural light and set off with mirrors. 

Once inside, the professionals who visited us were able to see the striking impact that our designs make, with their wealth of innovative textures and finishes, thanks to five volumes covered in our surfaces. 

During the period that our products were featured at La Main, our surfaces were used to dress up another elegant setting with certain industrial overtones, where visitors could discover our purest essence: the presentation of our minerals from their natural origin to the final product. 

Our finishes are made with masterly craftsmanship, uniting sustainability, innovation, tradition and creativity. They were exhibited at La Main to mimic a background setting with the emphasis on simplicity, amplitude and deluxe surfaces. 

La Main also serves to emphasize LVMH Métiers d'Art’s commitment to sustainable creation and responsible luxury, since our surfaces were displayed in unique style in a creative laboratory where traditional craftsmanship goes hand in hand with modernity. 

With La Main, LVMH Métiers d'Art has reaffirmed its role as the guardian of savoir-faire, while innovating and looking forward into the future.
