Villa Veles is superbly located on the island of Mallorca, at a point where the sea meets the land. This is a villa that goes far beyond the concept of a home by appealing to the senses.
Mallorca Heritage–the building developer in charge of the project, which worked with Terraza Balear, part of Gunni & Trentino, on the design of the interiors–has created a home where every single living space is an invitation to feel, to engage with the surrounding area, and to enjoy the pleasures of life.
As envisaged by architect Nacho Pons, from 3de3 Arquitectos, Villa Veles actually seems to breath. Not only do its spacious interiors, high ceilings and huge windows guarantee amplitude, but they also allow the sea breeze to permeate every single corner of the home.
The villa is clad in MDi surfaces, with the high added value that they afford. Visual and sensory continuity is achieved with the Petra and Jasper collections, made of ultra-pure minerals, which run from the entrance right through to its exteriors, linking in with the natural surroundings.
Petra, which features a natural limestone design, and Jasper, with all the solidity of big rocks, stand out for their rich textures and depth of colour, reflected throughout the whole villa. Not only is Vila Veles’ contemporary design enhanced by our latest generation surfaces, but sustainability and durability are also guaranteed, echoing the commitment to innovation and nature shared by Terraza Balear and Mallorca Heritage.
One particularly noteworthy feature of the project are the textures that abound throughout the home. In addition to their decorative potential, the natural materials (stone, wood and organic fabrics) and our MDi surfaces also have sensory associations: linen’s smooth surface, the warmth of fine wood, and the coolness of delicate marble.
As well as their evident quality and excellence, the chosen materials also elicit sensations. For instance, our MDi surfaces evoke the restful calm of Mallorca’s light-filled landscapes, while the neutral-coloured smooth linen and cotton designs enfold the living spaces in a warm, comforting embrace.
Villa Veles is also a tribute to design, thanks to the work of the well-known Italian firm Minotti. From the main lounge through to the villa’s exteriors, Minotti has left its stylish elegant hallmark on the project, transforming each living space into an inhabitable work of art.
The lighting also plays a transformative role, since it was carefully designed to complement the architecture and add to the general atmosphere, with special emphasis on integrating light into each of the villa’s different settings.
The colour palette chosen by Terraza Balear is made up of shades like basalt grey and bottle green, conceived to infuse the spaces with depth and sophistication. These colours contrast with the villa’s neutral backdrop, adding a touch of dynamism and counterbalancing its serenity with a certain boldness. The resulting refined-looking interiors have a discrete luxurious charisma, contrasting with the luminosity of the Mediterranean setting.
The villa’s different living spaces are stimulating backdrops with a strong sensory appeal, while the exteriors, also clad in MDi, inspire a sense of communion with the natural surroundings, making the terraces the perfect place to gaze out at the horizon as the sun gently caresses your skin.
The final outcome is an inviting villa with an enduring elegance, in a backdrop characterized by the soothing sound of water. All its different spaces encourage you to engage with nature, offering a charming haven of peace and quiet that truly resonates with people since it is not just a question of inhabiting a home, but of surrendering to its flow.
